Besides the remarkable concert of choral works by two of England's foremost Renaissance composers Thomas Weelkes and William Byrd, The King's Singers will be paying tribute to two Romantic music powerhouses: Ralph Vaughan Williams and Hugo Alfvén. Patrons will also get a glimpse into the extraordinary mind of György Ligeti, whose Nonsense Madrigals illustrate children's poetry and extracts from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, denoting a unique sense of humour and harmonic genius.

Travelling back into our time, the group are bringing a new work by Joe Hisaishi, as well as a newly commissioned piece by young British composer Francesca Amewudah-Rivers. Adding up a Hispanic flavour to the contemporary flow, the singers will perform music specially written for them in 2010 by American composer Gabriela Lena Frank, providing a window into her own Latin American heritage.

This eclectic vocal display concludes with a love letter to Walt Disney, unveiling a nostalgic collection of magical soundtracks.
