The China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries Film Festival kicks off creating an interesting contrast with outstanding productions

Under the patronage of the Secretariat for Social Affairs and Culture of the Macao SAR Government, organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), and co-organised by the Galaxy Entertainment Group, the “China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries Film Festival”, integrated in the 6th “Encounter in Macao – Arts and Cultural Festival between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries”, is held from 22 November to 13 December, presenting nearly 30 film productions in Chinese and Portuguese.

China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries Film Festival themed “Creating an Interesting Contrast” presents a series of outreach activities to showcase the unique charm of the cinematic world of China and the Portuguese-speaking countries

Under the patronage of the Secretariat for Social Affairs and Culture of the Macao SAR Government, organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), and co-organised by the Galaxy Entertainment Group, the “China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries Film Festival”, integrated in the 6th “Encounter in Macao – Arts and Cultural Festival between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries”, will be held from 22 November to 13 December. Themed “Creating an Interesting Contrast”, this year’s Film Festival is held for an extended period of three weeks for the first time, presenting nearly 30 film productions from China and the Portuguese-speaking countries and regions, as well as outreach activities such as outdoor screenings, post-screening seminars and workshops.

6th “Encounter in Macao - Arts and Cultural Festival between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries” and “2024 GEG Lusofonia Festival” inaugurated showcasing the glamour of diverse cultures and facilitating international cultural and artistic exchange

Under the patronage of the Secretariat for Social Affairs and Culture of the Macao SAR Government, organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, with the support of the Macao Government Tourism Office, the Municipal Affairs Bureau, TDM - Teledifusão de Macau, S.A., and Air Macau Company Limited, the 6th “Encounter in Macao – Arts and Cultural Festival between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries” is held from October to December this year. The event is held in parallel with the “2024 GEG Lusofonia Festival”, and also features 70 sessions of activities in seven series, including the “Annual Arts Exhibition between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries”, the “China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries Film Festival”, the “Tito Paris Concert with the Macao Chinese Orchestra”, the “Chinese and Portuguese Picture Book Fair”, the “GEG Traditional Music and Dance Performance in the Community”, and wine tasting workshops, counting with the participation of nearly 700 artists and performers, revealing the splendour of cultural integration between different regions, offering residents and tourists multicultural experiences.

Annual Arts Exhibition between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries inaugurated More than 100 artworks showcase Chinese and Portuguese contemporary art

Jointly organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) and Wynn Resorts (Macau) S.A., the “Memories‧Legacies‧Mutations –Annual Arts Exhibition between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries” was inaugurated today (25 October) at the Macao Museum of Art. The opening ceremony was officiated by the Deputy Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in the Macao SAR, Sun Xiangyang; the President of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, Leong Wai Man; the Deputy Director of the Department of Publicity and Culture of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao SAR, Bai Bing; the Counselor of Consulate General of Portugal in Macao, Manuel Ricardo da Silva; and the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer of Wynn Macau, Limited, Craig Jeffrey Fullalove.

Cape Verdean Singer Tito Paris Shines at the Arts and Cultural Festival between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries Presents a Fusion of Chinese and Western Music with the Macao Chinese Orchestra

The concert featuring the renowned Cape Verdean singer Tito Paris and the Macao Chinese Orchestra, as part of the 6th "Encounter in Macao: Arts and Cultural Festival between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries," will be held on November 15th at 8:00 PM at the Grand Auditorium of the Macao Cultural Centre. Tickets will be available for public sale starting from 23 October.

GEG Traditional Music and Dance Performance in the Community to be presented from this Thursday showcasing the charm of Sino-Lusophone cultural characteristics for two weekends

Jointly organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) and Galaxy Entertainment Group, the “GEG Traditional Music and Dance Performance in the Community”, integrated in the 6th “Encounter in Macao – Arts and Culture Festival between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries,” will be held on 24, 26, 27 and 31 October, and 2 and 3 November, featuring 14 vibrant performances to be presented at Iao Hon Market Park, Galaxy Macau™ Diamond Lobby and Crystal Lobby, the Ruins of St. Paul’s and Carmo Fair in Taipa.

Annual Arts Exhibition between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries opens on Friday featuring more than 100 artworks that showcase Chinese and Portuguese contemporary art

Jointly organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) and Wynn Resorts (Macau) S.A., the “Memories‧Legacies‧Mutations–Annual Arts Exhibition between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries” will be inaugurated on 25 October (Friday), at 5:00pm, at the Macao Museum of Art. Members of the public are welcome to participate.
