Ka Man Ip, Direction, Script Translation and Adaptation
Ip is a co-artistic director of the Dirks Theatre Arts Association, an actor, a theatre director and a Feldenkrais Method practitioner. He has participated in many of the association’s works, including The Tempest; Echoes in Dreams; Merry to the Seventh Heaven; Sign here, please; Song From Far Away; A Place We Call HOME; The Lesson, Macau; Night Just Before the Forests; I Take Your Hand in Mine and The Elevator Key.
May Bo Wu, Movement Coach and Actress (as Martina / Narrator)
A co-artistic director of the Dirks Theatre Arts Association, Wu holds an MA in Movement Studies from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, University of London, an MA in Performance and Cultural Studies from the University of Leeds, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) from the School of Drama of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. From 2020 to 2023, she curated the three-year “Body Culture Interpretation: Systems, Theatre Creations and Training Methods for Contemporary Performance” Research and Development Programme.
Will Wong, Actor (as Alan / Narrator)
Wong is a graduate of the Intercultural Theatre Institute in Singapore. He has taken part in the International School of Theatre Anthropology, and performed in Anastasis at the 10th Theatre Olympics in Hungary, Spirits of the Islands – Spirit of Mountains and Rivers by Rolling Puppet Alternative Theatre, and “Singing bowls x Poetry x Physical theatre HOWL A BOWL” by Route Arts Association.
Flora Ho, Actress (as Narrator)
Ho holds a Bachelor’s degree in Acting for Drama from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. She has recently produced HOWL A BOWL with Route Arts Association, and appeared in Woof Meow by Long Fung Drama Club; Sign here, please by Dirks Theatre Arts Association; The Authentic Flavour, The Vanished Figures and The Labour by Comuna de Pedra Arts and Cultural Association; Rabbit Hole by Theatre Farmers; and Before The Coffee Gets Cold commissioned by Macao Cultural Centre.
Cindy Mok, Actress (as Hesther / Narrator)
Mok is a freelance theatre practitioner who engages in performance, creation, theatre education and event coordination. After graduating in Acting from the Department of Theatre Arts of the Taipei University of the Arts, she has continually explored the field of performing arts, and has participated in various workshops and studied various systems of theatre performance. Among her works are “Will” Come True, In Between, Lift Left Life Live, and Merry to the Seventh Heaven.
Jason Mok, Actor (as Narrator)
A full-time theatre practitioner and a graduate from the Department of Drama and Theatre of the Taiwan University, Mok mainly engages in directing, art curation, theatre technology and theatre education and has been working as an instructor for the Hiu Kok Drama Association’s “Born for Theatre” Production and Actor Development Programme. His theatre performances include Terror, Cyrano de Bergerac, Roberto Zucco and Not Dreaming; film and tv performances include I Want to Be a Plastic Chair and Not Alone.
Eve Chen, Stage and Costume Design
Chen graduated in Set Design from the Department of Theatrical Design and Technology of the Taipei University of the Arts. She has worked as a set designer, lighting designer, costume designer, stage manager and actress, and engaged in design-related works for concerts and exhibitions. Her works include February 29; Holy Crab!; The Bus Driver; Café 22°N; Same Time, Next Year; 2x1.5 and The Theory of Everything.
Ketamine Tou, Lighting Design
Tou graduated in Lighting Design from the Department of Theatrical Design and Technology of the Taipei University of the Arts. In 2015, his work Double Half with the Focus Dance Company was selected in the Taiwan Student Section of the Prague Quadrennial. He is engaged in lighting design for theatre, dance, musicals and operas. Among his works are Carlos I, The Dress Looks Nice on You, Night Just Before the Forests, A Fragrant Dream, Café 22°N and Rabbit Hole.
Ka Wai Lai, Sound Design
Lai graduated in Sound Design from the School of Theatre and Entertainment Arts of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with the subsidy from the Cultural Affairs Bureau, and mostly works in the fields of sound design, live music remixing, and classical music recording. She has engaged in the productions of Death and the Maiden, Lychee and Hero, The Pillowman, Rabbit Hole, Lift Left Life Live, To Kill or to be Killed, Project Ragged 2.0, to name a few.
Kini Cheong, Video Dramaturg
Graduated in Directing from the Taipei University of the Arts, Cheong’s directing work A Traffic Congestion was honoured Best Theatre Performance at the Taipei Fringe Festival. She has been invited to serve as a play-reading director for the “Read for You VI” series run by the Guling Street Avant-Garde Theatre’s Body Phase Studio and has been invited by the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia to produce a performance. Her works include Get Lost, I'm Done; The Dress Looks Nice On You and La Réunification des deux Corées.
Nicco Sun, Makeup Design
Sun holds a British ITEC Diploma in Fashion, Theatre and Media Makeup. Her projects include Terror; _intoTheWonderLand_; Hide; The Trouble of Mortuary Staff, The Best Wretches; Chun Su Mei; Cyrano de Bergerac; Merry to the Seventh Heaven; Echoes in Dreams; The Pillowman; Same Time, Next Year; Pool (No Water) ; and The Dress Looks Nice On You.
Iekman Lio, Deputy Costume Design
Lio is a freelance theatre practitioner working backstage. She has been the stage manager, assistant stage manager, front of house manager, backstage manager, assistant costume designer for various theatre performances.
San Fong, Production Manager and Stage Manager
A graduate in Psychology from Fu Jen Catholic University in Taiwan, Fong has worked in the production of The Dress Looks Nice On You, The Coloane Game and Sunset at the Shipyards by Dream Theater Association; Ready to Wear by Artistry of Wind Box Community Development Association; Vaster Far than the Ocean by Stella & Artists; Oleanna and A Number by Dirks Theatre Arts Association; Same Time, Next Year and The Pillowman by Hiu Kok Drama Association.
Mirabella Lao, Deputy Stage Manager
Lao, a full-time performing arts practitioner, is mainly engaged as a deputy stage manager, space designer and producer. Her productions include The Tempest and Song From Far Away by Dirks Theatre Arts Association, Terror and The Pillowman by Hiu Kok Drama Association, Afterlife and The Blue Hour by Step Out, The Dress Looks Nice On You and Carlos I at the Macao Arts Festival.
