Korean dance star and Peeping Tom performer Seoljin Kim will be teaching a dance workshop with an emphasis on gravity, time and space, reality versus fiction and various characters in different situations. Participants will gain a better understanding of their bodies and individual expression.

Seoljin Kim
 
Born in the Republic of Korea in 1981, Seoljin studied dance at the Korean National University of Arts. From 2001 to 2008, he danced in more than 30 performances and created numerous pieces as a choreographer. With the performance Lucifer, he won the Grand Prix at the 40th National Dance Competition. Many other awards followed, amongst which the CJ Young Festival Dance Award for Carnival of the Animals and the Seoul Arts Center Jayu Young Dance prize for Depth Wish. The first time he worked with Peeping Tom was for 32 rue Vandenbranden. He then worked as artistic assistant in Vader. In 2014, Seoljin won Dancing 9, a Korean dance survival programme on the Mnet channel. In 2015, he was awarded Performer of the Year by the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and received a Dance Arts Award fromChungmu Arts Center for his performance in A Louer, a production by Peeping Tom which opened the Seoul Performing Arts Festival the same year.
