“Style‧Encounter Moment” Fashion Parade showcases local designers’ latest achievements

Organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) and co-organized by the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center (CPTTM), the “Style‧Encounter Moment” Fashion Parade of the Subsidy Programme for Fashion Design on Sample Making was held on Saturday (24 October), at the Macao Fashion Festival 2020 in Hall A of The Venetian Macao.

The event was attended by the President of the Administrative Committee of the Cultural Industries Fund, Lam Wan Nei; the Member of the Administrative Committee of the Cultural Industries Fund, Chu Miu Lai; the Head of the Department for Promoting Cultural and Creative Industries of the IC, Ho Hong Pan; the Head of the Division for Planning and Developing Cultural and Creative Industries of the IC, Kuong Chon Mei; and members of the adjudicating panel of the Subsidy Programme for Fashion Design on Sample Making, including the Deputy Director-General of the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Centre, Victoria Alexa Kuan Chan; the member of the Committee of Cultural Industries and Vice President of the Industrial Association of Macau, José Tang Kuan Meng; local veteran fashion designer, Robert Lai and the President of Rainbow Group, Terry Sio, among others.

The Fashion Parade featured works by fashion designers selected from the 7th Subsidy Programme for Fashion Design on Sample Making, in which 64 sets of clothing were presented by local models, including men’s clothing, women’s casual and haute-couture attire. Participating designers included (in arbitrary order): Wai Chin Seong, Lai Ka Pou, Leng Carmen, Lo Ka Heng, Cordova Celestino Maria, Cheong Kuan Peng, Wong Man I and Choi Wai Leng.

IC and CPTTM have been jointly organizing the “Style‧Encounter Moment” Fashion Parade of Subsidy Programme for Fashion Design on Sample Making annually since 2014, showcasing the latest achievements of selected designers from IC’s “Subsidy Programme for Fashion Design on Sample Making”, providing a platform for local fashion designers to promote their fashion brands and works.
