The Macau Rhythmical Ethnic Music Association promotes lesser-known musical instruments in Macau, such as asalato from Africa and digeridoo from Australia , and has established its music style that absorbs even primitive tribes from all over the world, and develops different band combinations e.g. ASURA, NÁV etc. which people can always feel the breath of nature in their music. On a weekend of November, in a green meadow far away from urban area, they like to meet friends who are interested in outdoor concerts and rhythm music, and use musical instruments to experience nature, jam music, and play rhythm.
The World Music Camp is positioned as "Training and Development". The members of Macau Rhythmical Ethnic Music Association will use different rhythm instruments to improvise together with the participants for two days and one night camp, and explore how to connect the outdoor environment and music presentation. They will lead the participants to create an outdoor concert. World Music Camp is an extraordinary music camp which can be described as an all-round experience of art and production.
In order to enrich the experience of the participants, the construction and installation of sound system for the outdoor concert will be completed by all members under the guidance of instructors. During the whole event, participants have the opportunity to learn new musical instruments, understand the concept of outdoor concert production and planning, establish the style of the orchestra, create exchanges and share, participate in improvisation and performances etc. It is very suitable for those who have a certain musical foundation but have not yet developed into musicians, and can make friends with common interests and common language, and even create opportunities to develop new orchestra groups.
