Lobo

Lobo joined the "Focus" band in the early 1990s and began to be active in the Macau band. Later, with Chi Ta (now LAVY lead), Hin, Joaquim and Fi (now Forget the G drummer) formed the "Dongfanghong" band; that evolved from the American post-grunge style to the later British rock style. The band ended in 1998, and Lobo and a group of like-minded friends formed the local legendary band-“Dr.”.

The appearance of "Dr." had a great impact on the band scene in Macau at that time because it is the first local band to combine electronic music, hip-hop and rock music. It is also the world's first group to combine Cantonese rapping with drum&bass rhythm. Their music not only played a revolutionary role in the Macau music circle, but also inspired the younger generation of musicians to start making their own electronic music. Since the mid-1990s, Lobo has started to produce electronic music in his own name. In 2000, he transformed into “no.69” and launched the album “P.1C <1st term>”. The album was also selected by Hong Kong's music magazine “Music Colony” as one of the best 20 albums of the year for China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Entering the twentieth century, Lobo not only became obsessed with the work as a musician, but also founded Macau's only indie label-“4daz-le”. The label has released more than twenty records. Most of the albums are released to important record stores such as “Tower Records” in Japan. In 2012, Lobo joined “Evade” and became their guest musician. He performed with them in Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Osaka, Kyoto and other places. In 2017, Lobo and six other local musicians formed Macau’s first ethnic music group “Asura”. The instruments played include the Australian indigenous horn Didgeridoo, the African tambourine Djembe, the African sand bell Asalato and the percussion music handpan that has emerged in Europe in recent years.
