Hon Chong Chan X Chak Seng Lam Jazz Duet

Hon Chong Chan, jazz guitarist from Macau, China. He graduated from The Collective School of Music in New York and Beijing Contemporary Music Academy. He studied jazz guitar with Sherly Bailey、Paul Bollenback、Chris Biesterfelft、Costas Baltazanis、Nate Radley,Ricardo Vogt. He has performed in Silvana in New York, Jz Club in Guangzhou, Golden Jazz Club in Zhuhai and Meeting jazz club in Shenzhen, participated in Macau International Music Festival, Macau Jazz week, Guangzhou Jazz Festival, Shenzhen Jazz Festival, Hengqin Jazz week.

He has share the stage with jazz musicians Chris Biesterfelft, Franz Von Chossy,Ze Eduardo,Tommy Ho, Riho Shimasue, Patrick Lui. He recorded his first album "Travelling Coffee" in New York in 2019 with New York musicians Bob Quaranta, Gregory Jones and Tobias Ralph, released in 2020.

ChakSeng Lam is a jazz saxophonist and flutist from Macau and the endorser artist of Forestone, a Japanese saxophone brand. He studied at the School of Music of Macao Conservatory. He graduated from the Royal Conservatoire The Hague, Netherlands with a Bachelor's degree and was awarded an''Excellence full scholarship'' to keep on studying for a Master's degree. Since 2017, he has been active in various jazz venues in Macau and surrounding cities and has performed in jazz festivals in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau. He is also the initiator of the''Jam Session Station'' jazz educational program, which has been held at Macau Ka Wan Piano Company for two consecutive summers. ChakSeng is a well-rounded musician who plays across a wide range of genres, from classical to jazz to Latin. He has been influenced by great jazz saxophonists such as Michael Brecker and Joe Henderson, etc. He developed a unique personal style, his music is expressive and dramatic, but also has a gentle and sensual side. He has performed throughout Western Europe, Southeast Asia, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. He performed with Alex Sipiagin, Eric Alexander, Vincent Herring, Stefan Karlsson, Zé Eduardo, Steve Thornton, Lin Chang, and Jun Kung on the international stage. He's a member of the ''New Lingnan Quartet'' with three jazz teachers from Xinghai Conservatory of Music in Guangzhou, China, and released the album ''A Mobile Courtyard'' in August 2019, which was awarded by the University of Hartford, USA 's. In May 2022, he recorded his first solo album with the Netherlands' top musicians Eric Ineke, Rob van Bavel, and Cyprus' top musician Kyriacos Kesta, which is expected to be released in the first quarter of next year.
