In a two-day workshop on Beatbox by Sam Lau, Hong Kong's famous artist of Yat Po Singers a cappella group, students will be able to understand Beatbox's skills in a relaxing and fun way which after, students will have more in-depth knowledge to play Beatbox solo.

Audience: Anyone interested in Beatbox and are 12 years old and above

Workshop Content:
1. An explanation of the various sound effects, principle and application of various rhythm techniques
2. Teaching and demonstration of different patterns (Groove)
3. Train the ability to listen and deconstruct the rhythm of pop music
4. Creation of rhythms on the spot, interaction between participants in creating a new rhythm

Sam Lau profile:
Artist in "Yat Po Singers" and founder of VOICENJOY Art. He is undertaking a Master Degree of Fine Arts in Drama in the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts, major in playwriting. Sam is now a freelance artist, and a cappella and beatbox tutor.
