Get ready and make crafts together! Have you ever watched people perform a wonderful symphony with tins, ice cream sticks, glass bottles and straws? In the first lesson, kids will create their own instruments using recycled materials and learn the underlying principles of sound making, while in the second lesson kids will perform with their newly crafted instruments and enjoy the creative music jamming!

16:30 – 18:30 on 22^nd and 29^th September 2018 (For ages 7 to 9)

Quota: 20 persons per age group
Fee: MOP $100 (2 lessons in total)

Remark: Participants of class for ages 4 to 6 must be accompanied by their parent for the first lesson. The deadline for registration is 24^th August and applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Accepted applicants will be notified to submit the fee at any of the Macau Ticketing Network within a specified period.

Instructor: Hidy Chan

Hidy Chan, a local music worker who actively participates in and promotes music education. She holds professional qualifications in music education and has served as an instructor for many music workshops and courses.

Remarks

• Online and telephone registrations for the Outreach Programmes will be opened from 6th August at 9 a.m. till the day before the respective activity dates except for those events with a specific deadline for applications stated.
• The organizer reserves the right to alter activities and instructors.
• Most of the activities are free admission except for those with a fee is expressly set. Registration is required.
• Due to limited availability, participants who are absent without notice will be put on waiting list for the Outreach Programme activities of the next edition of the Macao International Music Festival.
• Activities will be photographed or videotaped by IC staff for archival or evaluation purposes. Some of the photographs may be used for promotion of similar activities without consent from the participants in advance.
• In case of a discrepancy between the Portuguese/English versions of the Outreach Programme with the Chinese version, the Chinese version shall prevail.
