Beethoven is one of the most prominent figures in classical music. His techniques and music have influenced generations of musicians as he is regarded as the pioneer of the nineteenth-century Romantic music. Beethoven’s music has remained the most marketable and most popular classical music to this day. The speaker of this talk will give guides of appreciation for Beethoven in the hope that the audience will learn a life lesson from Beethoven’s music.

David Lu is an experienced musician, deputy executive director of the Nightingale Foundation, host of Classical FM97.7’s Mondrian Color Palette, writer of music magazines including Muzik Magazine, PAR Magazine and Music Browser, music guide and lecturer at the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, the Taipei Symphony Orchestra, the National Taichung Theater and the National Theatre and Concert Hall. From 2014 to 2016, Lu was honoured with the Best Host Award of the Non-Popular Programme Category at the Golden Bell Awards.
