Icelandic sensation Ólafur Arnalds enjoys pushing boundaries! Since the release of his debut album Eulogy for Evolution in 2007, Arnalds has built up a dedicated international career. His accessible and unique musical language transcends a traditional divide by blending classical, pop and ambient/electronica influences. Mixing atmospheric piano with digital effects, his genre-crossing compositions have taken the world by storm! “My music,” explains Ólafur, “is built on repetitions and riffs; instead of something that continuously develops, it loops and discloses a verse/chorus structure even without the vocals.” This ingenious and thoroughly modern approach is fully realised in his enthusiastic compositions for film. In 2013 he scored the ITV thriller series Broadchurch which reached top ratings in the UK and France and subsequently earned Ólafur Arnalds a prestigious BAFTA Award for Best Original Television Music in 2014.

Ólafur Arnalds highly anticipated performance in Macao showcases tracks from his studio albums “Living Room Songs,” “…And They have escaped the Weight of Darkness”, the exceptional “For now I am Winter,” his film work “Another Happy Day” and the award-winning soundtrack from Broadchurch. You can’t afford to miss this magnificent artistic crossover!
