The 27th Macao International Music Festival proceeds with symphonic music, Portuguese folk music, chamber music and traditional Chinese music. On October 19, Saturday, at 8pm, at the Macao Cultural Centre Grand Auditorium, the Macao Orchestra and the Korean Chamber Orchestra present Richard Strauss’ Vier Letzte Lieder and Ein Heldenleben in the concert A Hero’s Life. They are joined on stage by renowned soprano Aga Mikolaj, frequently praised for her silvery vocal quality and seamless legato line.

The 27th Macao International Music Festival (MIMF) organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, kicked off on October 2nd. This year the MIMF established a special collaboration with the Cotai Strip Resorts Macao and has installed a Festival exhibitor at St. Mark’s Square in the Grand Canal Shoppes at the The Venetian-Resort-Macao, attracting appreciative crowds of tourists. At the same time, there will be daily performances of famous operas arias and musical’s themes included in this year’s MIMF program, providing beautiful melodies to a diversified audience.
