Macao Arts Festival

The Dramatic Arts are the main course in this edition of the Macau Arts Festival (MAF), which comes of age to the sound of applause for the 100^th anniversary of modern Chinese Theatre. With more than 45 performances by artists from Germany, Spain, Canada, Austria, Indonesia, Mexico and France/Hungary, the Festival season would not be complete without the ever-present spirit of the Portuguese, as well.

At the 2006 Macao Arts Festival, dive from the top of a 15 meter African baobab into the water puppetry tradition of Vietnam. Dance to a futuristic Chopin with Marie Chouinard and follow Portugal's Ala dos Namorados to the heart of the Macao Chinese Orchestra, as they celebrate a four-century cultural love affair.

The Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government presents the 16th Macao Arts Festival (MAF) to be held between 7 March and 2 April 2005 with the main goal of displaying Chinese culture, exhibiting high quality artistic creations and promoting the growth of the Arts in Macao.

The Cultural Institute of the Macau S.A.R. Government, from the 6th through 28th of March, 2004, presents the XV Macau Arts Festival, with the main goal of displaying Chinese Culture, exhibiting high quality artistic creations and promoting the growth of the Arts in Macau.

The 14th Macao Arts Festival will be held from 1st to 28th March 2003. It is sponsored by the Cultural Institute of Macao S.A.R Government and co-sponsored by the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau.

The 13th Macao Arts Festival will be held from 8th to 24th March 2002, organised by the Cultural Institute of the Macao S.A.R. Government, and co-organised by the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau.
