Organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), the first evaluation of the “Collective Exhibition of Macao Visual Arts 2020” has been recently completed. After a rigorous selection by the jury, a total of 208 works (sets) were selected for the second evaluation. Shortlisted applicants will be notified to submit their physical works at the designated time and place.

In order to ensure the fairness and professionalism of the evaluation, IC invited professionals and academics from different regions both at home and abroad to form the jury panel. However, due to the impact of the novel coronavirus pneumonia and the relevant entry and exit restrictions in various regions, overseas jury members are unable to visit Macao. Therefore, in order to ensure a smooth evaluation process, on the day of the second evaluation, local members of the jury will evaluate the physical works in person, whereas the foreign jury members will evaluate the works simultaneously through a live session. About 80 works (sets) will be shortlisted and the winning works will be selected according to the total score. The results will be announced shortly after the second evaluation has been completed.

For updates on the exhibition, please visit the IC’s website at www.icm.gov.mo. For enquiries, please email to cam@icm.gov.mo, or contact IC through tel. no. 8988 4000 during office hours.
