Adjustment of activities and timeline for the Cultural Affairs Bureau’s activities over the weekend due to the weather conditions

According to the weather forecast, typhoon “Mangkhut” will be close to Macao in the next few days. All Cultural Affairs Bureau activities scheduled for 15 and 16 September (Saturday and Sunday) will be cancelled or postponed.

The activities postponed include: the talk “The King of Comedy– L’Elisir d’Amore”, integrated in the 32nd Macao International Music Festival Outreach Programme, and the concert “Along with the musical joy – Annual gala and gathering”, originally scheduled to be held on 15 September (Saturday), which will be postponed to 22 September and 10 November at the same time and place, respectively. Spectators with tickets can enjoy the concert on the new date, 10 November. The postponement of the “Rabbit and the Moon - Fluorescent Clay Workshop”, originally scheduled for 16 September (Sunday), as well as of the Macao Museum of Art art courses and the Macao Cultural Heritage training programme “Little Little Docent”, originally scheduled for 15 and 16 September, will be announced later.

The activities cancelled include the concert “Music in Library: Happy reading, enjoy music” by the Macao Orchestra and the reading activity for families “Reading Promotes Growth” at Sir Robert Ho Tung Library, originally scheduled for 15 September (Saturday); the “Artistic tour for families on Sunday” by the Macao Museum of Art, originally scheduled for 16 September (Sunday); as well as the activities of the Library “Stories World” and the Macao Museum of Art guided tours, originally scheduled for 15 and 16 September.

If typhoon signal No. 8 or above is hoisted, the cultural facilities of the Cultural Affairs Bureau (including heritage sites, libraries, museums and exhibition halls, among others) will be immediately closed.
