Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), the 2017 Macao International Parade in celebration of the 18th anniversary of Macao’s Handover to China was successfully held on 17th December. In order to encourage a more active participation of the public in local cultural events, a photography contest for the “2017 Macao International Parade” has been organised by the IC and co-organised by Easy Photography Association, offering a platform of exchange and mutual learning to photography aficionados while inviting citizens to share the memorable moments captured throughout the parade.
The photography contest is themed around the “2017 Macao International Parade” in commemoration of the 18th anniversary of Macao’s Handover to China and is now calling for entries which could feature shots of joyous scenes, magnificent performances, performer close-ups and event highlights captured during the Parade. The contest is open to all Macao residents aged 12 or above, except staff from the organising and co-organising entities and official photographers of the event. Participants must upload their photos (up to 5 photos per person) to photoblog.ecpz.net/macaoparade by 30th December 2017. The contest features a Champion Award, a 1st Runner-Up Award, a 2nd Runner-Up Award and 15 Merit Awards. To encourage the greatest number of participants, the Champion and Runner-Up prizes will not be awarded to the same contestant, and each contestant may only receive up to two prizes. Entry specifications and contest regulations are available at the IC Building and the headquarters of Easy Photography Association, and can also be downloaded from the official website of the Parade (www.icm.gov.mo/macaoparade) and of Easy Photography Association (www.ecpz.net). All photography aficionados are invited to participate in the contest. In addition, a special programme about the Parade will be broadcast on Hong Kong TVB Jade Channel from 10:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on 23rd December, in order to give a larger audience the opportunity to review the best moments of this great event. It is not to be missed.
