Renowned violinist Ning Feng joins hands once again with the Macao Orchestra
Concert and violin master class take place in the middle of next month

The Macao Orchestra (OM, from the Portuguese acronym) of the Cultural Affairs Bureau presents the concert “Ning Feng Plays Elgar” on Sunday, 19 February, at 8pm, at St. Dominic’s Church. Under the baton of the young Taiwanese conductor Tung-Chieh Chuang, the internationally renowned Chinese violinist Ning Feng, who is highly respected and supported by the music fans in Macao, will present his solo performance,. Violin master class conducted by the violinist Ning Feng will be hosted. All interested parties are welcome to register.

Ning Feng, famed Chinese violinist, winner of the gold medal at the Paganini Violin Competition, returns to Macau to interpret Elgar's Violin Concerto, regarded among musicians as the greatest British romantic violin concerto, showing his outstanding skills and unique style. In addition, in order to train and encourage talented local musicians, this visit will include the activity “Music Hour - Violin Master Class with Ning Feng”, which will be held on Friday, 17 February, at 7pm at the Macau Museum of Art Auditorium. The master class will be personally conducted by the violinist and will allow participants to expand their musical horizons and performance experiences, also offering a chance to get to know the musical perspective of this great musician. The master class will be conducted in Mandarin and English. Fee for participants being coached is MOP100 and fee for observers is MOP40. Successful applicants will need to submit the fee at the Cultural Affairs Bureau.

Admission to “Ning Feng Plays Elgar” is free. Tickets will be distributed at the venue one hour prior to the performance.
