As part of the 30th Macao International Music Festival (MIMF), organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, several renowned musicians will come to Macao to perform and share their musicianship in master classes in order to enhance the participants’ music proficiency. All residents are welcome to register as participants or observers. The MIMF Outreach Programme includes several master classes, and some other activities to start already in September, offering music fans opportunities not to be missed.

The master classes offered in this edition of the MIMF cover several music genres. Colin Currie, the leader of the Colin Currie Group, will guide the Macao percussion fans and teach them how to enhance their percussion skills. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the MIMF, the first Artistic Director of the Festival, Adriano Jordão, will host a master class allowing the participants to experience his delicate and vivid style. The master classes are open to participants and observers; individuals who are interested in attending as participants should state their musical experience in the relevant musical instrument in the respective Application Form.

The MIMF Outreach Programme aims to improve the artistic accomplishments of music fans. Apart from master classes, the Programme also includes talks, meet-the-artist sessions and community screenings, among others.
