Cantonese opera The Soul of Macao is adapted by national first class playwright Li Xinhua from a namesake Beijing Opera work written by a Macao writer, and presented by the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government and produced by the Foshan Cantonese Opera Troupe. Chu Chan Wa, Macao’s well-known Cantonese opera performer good at playing wenwusheng (scholar and warrior), and Li Shuqin, Director of the Foshan Cantonese Opera Troupe and famous Cantonese opera performer, will  play the leads. This production reflects the in-depth cultural co-operation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
