To encourage and foster local music stars, this year’s Macao International Music Festival continues to host Bravo Macao! for local musicians to showcase their talents.

Poon Ho Suet graduated from the University of Cincinnati College - Conservatory of Music in 2014 with a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance. She is now an instructor in the Macao Conservatory School of Music. Among her numerous awards, she was the winner of the Cultural Affairs Bureau Prize in the Macao Young Musicians Competition (MYMC) and the University of Cincinnati College - Conservatory of Music 2013-2014 Chamber Music Competition.

Poon Ho Tung is now seeking a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, and received several honours and scholarships during her studies in the U.S. She is a regular winner among the top three in several iterations of MYMC and was awarded the Talent Prize in the 25th iteration.

Leong Ngok Meng completed a Master’s Degree in Trumpet Performance at the Mannes School of Music in New York, and had studied under trumpeters David Burkhart and Vincent Penzarella. He was a trumpeter of the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra and has been regularly invited to perform with the Macao Orchestra and City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong.
