Although we all live in the same city, we all have different dreams. In A Dream of Light, the Macau Audiovisual Alpha (MAVA) leads the audience through the dreams of Macao locals, turning the Ruins of St. Paul’s into a dream factory and allowing them to experience their fellow citizens’ collective fantasies, memories and utopias. Whether bizarre, moving or ominous, these dreams also embody Macao’s multicultural atmosphere.

MAVA is Macao’s first architectural mapping group. Its members have participated in the 24th MAF’s Mapping: Made in Macau show, to great acclaim. Members of the Spanish group Telenoika, creators of the first audiovisual mapping show held at the Ruins of St. Paul’s, cooperate and share their expertise with MAVA in this unique show.

Once again, the Ruins of St. Paul’s become the canvas for a locally produced audiovisual architectural mapping show that brings the 25th edition of the Macao Arts Festival to a spectacular close.
