Local company Theatre Farmers presents Hong Kong playwright Candace Chong’s Murder in San Jose, the playwright’s fourth work honoured with the award for Best Script at the Hong Kong Drama Awards. Directed by notable Macao director Benjamin Wong Su Fai and starring local talents Jacky Li and Artemis Leung, and Santayana Li from Hong Kong, Murder in San Jose depicts the quotidian life with a well-written dialogue and a brilliant portrayal of the complexity of the human mind.

Theatre Farmers is the first non-profit organization dedicated to full-time professional drama in Macao. Founded in 2000, the company aims to promote the social functions of drama, nurturing the artistic qualities of Macao’s citizens, broadening the arts audience and promoting local culture.

“The play depicts the quotidian life with well-written dialogue and a brilliant portrayal of the complexity of the human mind. In particular, the hidden battle and near explosive nature between the couple has been brilliantly written.” - Sek Kei, Ming Pao
