How do we communicate, when words are no longer words?

In Motivations, written characters appear in their purest form, allowing people to correspond and communicate with each other. Transcending cultural boundaries, words in Chinese, Portuguese and other languages all become ideograms, as the audience creates written characters that move of their own accord, as if their creations were alive.

The Macao Arts Festival plays the role of “matchmaker” once again, facilitating the perfect unification of old buildings and new technology. Visit the Ruins of St. Paul’s, an iconic landmark and the most important of Macao’s world heritage sites, where you are invited to use special LED pens to write whatever you wish on the façade, against a backdrop of music. Bring your fresh ideas and add a splash of colour to time-honoured antiquity.

Arrangements in the event of Rain or Typhoon:
Due to inclement weather conditions, the performance will be cancelled in the event of a rainstorm at 6:30pm on the evening in question. For showers, depending on the situation, postponed showtime will be announced on site.
 
In the event a Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 3 or above, or a Rainstorm Signal / Thunderstorm Warning, is hoisted by the Macao Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau and is in effect at 3:00pm on the day of the show, the performance will be cancelled. Even if the signal is lowered at or before 7:30pm, the shows will remain cancelled.
