The curtains of the Dom Pedro V Theatre rise on the tango of Astor Piazzolla, inspiring the accordion of Ruggiero Mascellino. A fan of the Argentine master, he responds with jazz emotions in his own works, and invites violin and double bass to the party. The milonga of Piazzolla returns to touch the heart, and the trio heads home for the verismo of Cavalleria Rusticana. Before the drama of Rossini, the dancers weave more footwork to the sounds of Silvio Rodríguez and Piazzolla.
