There are very few composers like Rodrigo Leão of Portugal: a musician of such talent, with such a broad artistic view, that he truly deserves to be called a “master”. In Leão's words, his latest work, “Cinema”, contains "a melancholy that only belongs to those of us who live by the sea — something that comes out naturally. This music is intimate because it is linked to my own relationship with other people, with my friends, with my world. It is abstract, spontaneous”.

“Cinema”, Rodrigo Leão's sixth album, was released in 2004. It has achieved something really astonishing: it climbed to the top of the sales charts in Portugal the very moment it was published! It really deserves this acclaim, since it is the most brilliant work of the Portuguese composer and musician… And the best of all: the "Cinema" live show is as good as the recording..."
