The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) is now calling for submission of information for the publication of the Macao Drama Yearbook 2016 and the Macao Drama Yearbook 2017. Local art associations or artists are welcome to provide relevant information starting from today until 30 June in order to facilitate the compilation of the yearbooks.
With the growth of Macao’s artistic events and cultural and artistic exchange with other countries and regions in the recent years, it is necessary to keep a detailed record of Macao’s artistic development and document the related artistic events and activities systematically. Since 2013, IC initiated the edition of the relevant yearbooks. With the support of various art associations and artists, IC has published Macao Drama Yearbook 2015 and will keep on collecting information for the Macao Drama Yearbook 2016 and the Macao Drama Yearbook 2017, hoping that local art associations and artists can provide relevant information in order to facilitate the compilation of the yearbooks.
IC will commission the Macao Theatre Culture Institute to assist in compiling the Macao Drama Yearbook 2016 and collecting information for the Macao Drama Yearbook 2017. These yearbooks will document activities in theatre sector held in the respective year, featuring information of annual performances, competitions and shows, overseas performances and exchanges, school tours and educational performances, community programmes, talks, workshops, forums and seminar, related publications (such as books, periodicals, scripts, dissertations and critiques) and other activities. As the compilation involves a vast scope of materials, the Macao Theatre Culture Institute is gathering relevant information for theatre activities in 2016 and 2017 from local theatre groups and individuals from today until 30 June, in order to prevent the omission of any data and ensure the integrity of the data.
