Cultural Affairs Bureau sponsors a series of cultural activities during the Chinese New Year 20/01/2012
Many of Macao’s cultural attractions will maintain opening hours during the Chinese New Year, from January 22nd to January 25th, holding a series of activities in celebration of the Spring Festival. These sites include the Macao Museum, the Mandarin’s House, Lou Kao Mansion, Tap Seac Gallery, Mount Fortress Corridor, Ye Ting’s House, the Museum of Sacred Art, the Tak Seng On Traditional Pawnshop Museum and Guia Fortress Chapel.
Cultural Affairs Bureau launches “WH Macau” for Android 10/01/2012
The iPhone App “WH Macau”, launched last year by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (CAB), has already reached more than 15,000 users. The application will now be lauched for the operating system Android, in order to reach the users of all kinds of smartphones, so that they can access, wherever they are, the latest information and developments regarding the World Heritage-listed sites via a clear and practical interface.

The opening ceremony of Infection, Industria and Upsych – Contemporary Photography Exhibition took place on Friday, the 9th of December at 6:30pm in Tap Seac Gallery. The exhibition features three series of photographic works – ‘Infection’, ‘Industria’ and ‘Upsych’ – by Václav Jirásek, one of the most highly acclaimed contemporary photographers of the Czech Republic, whose works vividly document the beautiful aspects of everyday life.

In celebration of the 12th Anniversary of Macao’s Handover to China, the Cultural Affairs Bureau (CAB) has organised the “Parade through Macau, Latin City”, to be held December 20th at 3:30pm. The parade route will travel through Macao’s Latin quarters, highlighting the everlasting appeal of those neighbourhoods with a variety of charming and lively performances.
Exhibition ‘For the People – Sun Yat Sen and Macao’ on until this Sunday at the Macao Museum 07/12/2011
Organised by the Macao Museum under the Cultural Affairs Bureau, the exhibition For the People – Sun Yat Sen and Macao is not only one of the most important events celebrating the centenary anniversary of the 1911 Revolution but is one that focuses on patriotism. The exhibition can be seen in the 3rd Floor Exhibition Gallery.
