In order to optimise library services, starting from today the Cultural Affairs Bureau will provide a text enlarger machine in all major libraries under Macao Central Library, so that readers can magnify font sizes by a factor of 100 if necessary.
The operation of the text enlarger machine is easy. The text on the screen can be displayed in colour, and black and white; the contrast of images can also be enhanced. Readers can adjust the screen to a suitable position for comfortable reading and can read or write with the equipped movable tabletop. The Macao Central Library, Sir Robert Ho Tung Library, Ilha Verde Library, Red Market Library, IACM Building Library, and Mong Ha Library all provide this service for residents’ use.
