Macao Young Musicians Competition

Foreword

The annual Macao Young Musicians Competition is organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao S.A.R. Government with the aim of advancing the musical arts in the territory and enhancing the training and performance abilities of young local musicians. This year marks the 26th year of the Competition. Over the past quarter-century, the Macao Young Musicians Competition has given thousands of young people the opportunity to gain precious stage experience, and thus has played a vital role in the improvement of the musical skills of Macao’s youth. As last year’s competition featured piano categories, this year the focus will be on Chinese instruments, Western instruments, and Vocal music.
