Online Book Shop of the Cultural Affairs Bureau launches Christmas promotion

In order to facilitate the purchase of Cultural Affairs Bureau's publications via the Internet and to further promote reading, the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) launched its Online Book Shop last year. With the public's enthusiastic response to the anniversary sale in November, IC will continue to launch special offers from 1 to 31 December in appreciation of the support of readers, sharing the joy of Christmas with the public. Readers may enjoy a 20% discount on all books for any purchase order through the Online Book Shop.

IC offers over 300 types of books and periodicals on the Online Book Shop, including publications in traditional Chinese, simplified Chinese, Portuguese and English, with a rich and diverse range of categories, such as history, literature, visual arts, performing arts, culture, and academic research and studies. IC strives to provide convenient and efficient services for readers to select and purchase publications. Readers may place orders on the website and make electronic payments, then choose to receive books by Express Mail Service (EMS) or by picking up books from the libraries under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau. The website is supported by the Electronic Payment Platform of the Macao Postal Savings – a stable and efficient payment system. Readers from Macao and abroad can request the delivery of publications through the Express Mail Service (EMS) of the Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau to their designated locations; local readers can also choose to pick up their books at the 14 IC's public libraries (located in Macao Peninsula, Taipa, and Coloane) in person.

The Online Book Shop of the Cultural Affairs Bureau will launch special offers periodically. For more information, please visit the Online Book Shop website at www.icm.gov.mo/bookshop or contact the Book Shop by email to bookshop@icm.gov.mo.
