To adhere to the development direction of consolidating Macao as "a hub of exchange and co-operation where traditional Chinese culture prevails and other cultures flourish in harmony", the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government and the China National Publications Import & Export (Group) Corporation have jointly organized the 2nd Encounter in Macao—Arts and Cultural Festival between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries: Macao International Book Fair 2019. During the book fair, an array of events, including talks delivered by writers, book launches, seminars on China–PSC publishing culture and cookbook publisher salons, will be held to promote in-depth cooperation regarding copyright trading and publishing among Portuguese-speaking countries, countries along the "Belt and Road" route and China, with the ultimate goals to invigorate the book publishing market and stimulate cultural development in Macao. Content: It is one of the key copyright exchanging activities of this year's Macao International Book Fair. Domestic and foreign gourmet publishers attending the book fair will discuss the status quo and trends of cookbook publication, introduce newly published excellent cookbooks, and talk over collaboration in publishing.
