A thousand enrol in Fukuda's workshops

Featuring the imaginative posters created by the Japanese designer Shigeo Fukuda, the workshops have already received enrolments of over a thousand children from different schools since its opening in February.

The Cultural Institute is presenting the “Shigeo Fukuda in Macau” poster exhibition at the recently established Tap Seac Gallery. 71 works of Shigeo Fukuda are on display since December.

To promote the development of art education in Macau, a workshop named “Shigeo Fukuda’s Fantastic World” is being held for families and primary and kindergarten pupils.

All children will initially participate in games such shadow matching and a guided exhibition tour will be offered. Role-playing, body movement, discussion and improvisation are the other activities, so as to inspire children’s interest and creativity on art.

“Shigeo Fukuda’s Fantastic World” workshops are divided into two parts. There are the workshops for primary and kindergarten pupils. Four sessions will be held each day from Monday to Friday and two other will take place on Saturdays.

There are also workshops for families taking place at Tap Seac Gallery, which parents can participate along with their children. These workshops will be held during the weekends in two sessions. In addition, every Saturday and Sunday afternoon there will be a guided exhibition tour for the public.

The “Shigeo Fukuda’s Fantastic World” workshop runs from February 2 to 29 at the Tap Seac Gallery.
