"City Skin" calls attention to Macau urban sites
4/12/2005 - 15/1/2006

Jointly organized by the Tap Seac Gallery of the Cultural Affairs Bureau (ICM) and the Shenzhen Art Museum, the visual art exhibition displays a large variety of artworks, from traditional photos and sculptures to huge electronic billboards, street signs, lamp boxes, and an assortment of data and information from the Internet.

An interesting aspect of this show is that the exhibition is on display in four urban areas in Macau. While the Tap Seac Gallery shows a string of images, videos and installations, in the São Lázaro neighbourhood is presented a number of posters and sculptures are exhibited. The Fortress Hill shows a photography display and an "information exhibition."

The four zones are linked through Macau's historical streets, so viewers can explore the city as well as enjoy the visual experiences as "citizens".

Among the 33 artworks, only two are from Macau.
