The China National Center for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage and the Cultural Affairs
Bureau of the Macao S.A.R. Government have jointly organised the “Genesis and Spirit – Exhibition of
China’s Intangible Cultural Heritage”. Together they present the development and history, as well as the
important values of China’s intangible cultural heritage in order to encourage outstanding folk arts.

Macao welcomes Niang Bem, Chong Defu and Gao Wenging, representatives
of China’s Intangible Cultural Heritage who will demonstrate
two traditional and ancestral art forms at the Mandarin’s House.
The unique techniques of Thangka Painting and Wood-Block Printing
bring back the splendour of ancient culture and civilization.
